Derrick Consulting Inc. was established in 2010, our directional drilling well planners have over 35 years of combined experience in directional well planning. We focus primarily on the major North American basins but are also experienced internationally.
Our main objective with our well planning services is to deliver timely & accurate well designs, ensuring the highest level of customer service is always reached through client interaction & 24/7 service. With over 12,000+ wells planned to date, we have been able to expand our knowledge of the multiple areas that directional well design is utilized.
We have become an industry leader in multi-well pad design, well permitting services & Torque & Drag analysis.
PLANNING
For all our well planning services, our team of highly experienced well planners use a detail-orientated approach along with our technical expertise to provide well designs that are accurate and specific for each region. We provide in depth anti-collision analysis with all designs and will offer detailed solutions to any potential collision risk.
We are fluent with and will provide all necessary well planning services using the software (Landmark's COMPASS™ & WELLPLAN™) as well as any provincial/state subscriptions used for locating offset wells.

WELL PLOTTING
Our well planning consultants, individually work with our clients to create plots that fit their specific needs. We understand that a proper visual display of the well profile, whether it be in the initial well design or while the well is being drilled, is vital and can act as a quick reference to ensure objectives are met in the execution of drilling a well.
We will work with the regulatory, geology and drilling teams as well as the provincial/state governments to ensure that all data is accurate and all boundaries/mineral leases are displayed.
